A crowd of families and community supporters gathered at Atele Indoor Stadium as the third round of the 2026 Community Volleyball Tournament delivered competitive matches across the men's and women's divisions today.
Vaotu'u claimed one of the day's closest victories, defeating Holonga 15-13 in the deciding set of a hard-fought men's match to advance to the next round. The teams split the opening sets before Vaotu'u held its nerve in the final set to secure the win.
In the women's division, Talafo'ou and Sazzy Girls produced an entertaining contest, showcasing strong teamwork and competitive spirit in front of enthusiastic spectators.
The tournament features 18 men's teams and 16 women's teams competing across multiple pools and divisions.

Organisers said the competition continues to attract strong participation from both men and women and serves as an opportunity for young people and communities to come together through sport.
They said volleyball remains one of the most popular community sports, with supporters regularly turning out to encourage their teams and enjoy the tournament atmosphere.
Under competition rules, men's matches are played in a best-of-three format, with the first team to win two sets declared the winner. If teams split the opening two sets, a deciding third set determines who advances. Women's matches are contested over two sets.
The tournament continues in the coming weeks as teams compete for places in the later stages of the competition.
