Edward Yee appointed Country Head, BSP Tonga

BSP Tonga | Bank South Pacific (BSP) announces the appointment of Edward Yee as Country Head, Tonga, reporting to Group Executive Pacific Markets, Nuni Kulu.

Mr Yee is currently Country Head, Vanuatu, a role he has held since November 2022. He brings more than 30 years of international banking experience across the Pacific.

Previously, Mr Yee was Head of Corporate Banking at BSP Samoa.

Before joining BSP in 2015, he held senior leadership roles with Westpac in Samoa and Fiji.

Mr Yee has extensive experience leading teams, managing financial performance and strengthening relationships with government, regulators and customers across the region.

Mr Yee’s appointment follows a decision by former Country Head for Tonga, Faasu Atkinson, to return to Australia for personal reasons.

His appointment is subject to regulatory approval, following which Mr Yee is expected to transition to his new role in the coming weeks.
