Two young Tongan tennis players won silver medals in the U12 team national event at the East Pacific Qualifier Tennis junior tournament, in America Samoa last week. They advanced directly into the Pacific Oceania Junior Championships to be held in Fiji this April.
Tonga Tennis Association said that the Junior National Players did really well this year winning medals at the competition.
The American Samoa Tennis Association organization hosted the Pacific nations including Tonga, Tahiti, Samoa and Cook Islands joining the host's athletes for the tournament.
There were brief rain delays, yet matches resumed and concluded successfully displaying the determination and sportsmanship of the region’s young athletes.
Final Results Tonga:
At the U12 boy’s doubles event, King Huni and Sione Vailea won Silver for Tonga.
Tonga's Sione Lolomana’ia teamed up with Samoa's Penn for the U14 Boy’s event and won Bronze.
The U16 Tongan Boys Sosefo Toke and Tevita Lolomana’ia won bronze in their event.
