The Talas met with HM Queen Nanasipau’u at the Royal Palace in Nuku’alofa today, 28 October, ahead of their first ever home netball game set to begin this week.

The Talas will hold their first match in Tonga on 31 October, followed by two more games on 1 and 3 November.

The tour was named by the Queen as ‘the Tala-Tutone tour’, a tribute to the late Queen Salote Tupou III.

The tour takes place during the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of Tonga’s Constitution.

The Queen wished the Talas good luck on their preparations for their first game.

The tour is funded by the Tongan Government with support from the Australia through PacificAus Sports in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
