Tonga set to compete in OFC U16 Women's Championship

Tonga’s National U16 women’s football team, Young Mataliki will compete in OFC U-16 Women’s Championship 2025 in Samoa from 1-14 August.

Tonga was drawn in Group B, alongside Solomon Islands, New Zealand and American Samoa.

While Group A includes the hosts Samoa, Fiji, New Caledonia and Tahiti.

The competition is set to kick off with Group A matches this Friday, while Group B matches are set for Saturday.

Tonga’s first game will be against New Zealand, followed by their second game against Solomon Islands on 8 August.

The OFC U16 Women’s Championship this year in Samoa will also award two spots for the finalists, at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup 2026 in Morocco.
