Fire destroyed a home at Ma’ufanga on Salote Rd, at lunchtime today, Wednesday, 4 December. The blaze was reported to the Tonga Fire and Emergency Services at 12:35 PM and firefighters with three fire trucks responded to the report at 12:38 pm.
When firetrucks arrived at the location, the house had already been engulfed by fire.
An officer at the scene told Matangi Tonga that there were no casualties and that there was an ongoing investigation to find the cause of the fire.
"Kai ke 'iai ha lavea pea nae 'ikai ke mate ha taha," he said.
