If Parliament’s most urgent task at the close of its first day, Monday, was the passing of a new Foreign Investment Bill 2019 in order to release $35 million in current Budget Support from donors, then other matters on the work agenda might have been expected to be put aside when the House reconvened. Tonga doesnt benefit from
Tonga doesn't benefit from Restricted lists. Only Tongan businesses make gains at the cost of consumers, and there is no overall improvement. Foreign investment and local investments all improve the economy. The only reason other workers outside of Tonga would be chosen over local workers is in a mismatch of skills and education. So it's a question of adjusting education to not fill actual work but to also suit the future needs of Tonga.
