Couple serve lengthy jail sentences for appalling sexual crimes

A stepfather was sentenced to 12 and a half years imprisonment for numerous offences that included serious indecent assault of his two young stepdaughters and raping one of them. The mother (42) who helped him commit some of these serious sexual offences was sentenced to seven years and three months imprisonment. The judge agreed that the offendings constituted a grave breach of trust and the sentence imposed should reflect it.

I think a study of these
I think a study of these abuses might be helpful, and maybe give policy makers more information to make better policies to protect children and women, e.g perpetrators, are they alcoholics, are they from broken families, were they abused when young too, their income levels, are many abuses from reoffenders. Also the woman, what's her background too, a background of abuse, poverty?
We need to know what factors and conditions are similar in all the cases of abuse, after understanding these conditions we can look at improving them to reduce these abuses to our young girls and boys
