Liahona Alumni celebrate in Tonga

Nuku'alofa, Tonga

Joyous ex-students reunited for the Liahona Saineha Alumni Association Tri-Annual celebration, being held in Tongatapu from July 9-15.

Attended by hundreds of people from throughout Tonga and abroad, the celebration included a march and a flag raising ceremony at the Liahona High School compound on July 10. A Tri-annual General meeting, luncheons, an alumni ball and sports day were held throughout the week.

A float parade is to be held from Teufaiva Stadium to Vuna Road on Saturday, July 14 before concluding on the next day.

The Liahona Saineha Alumni Association formed in 1977 may hold its annual reunion celebration anywhere in the world, but comes back to Tonga every three-years.

Liahona is operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
