Editor,
We Tongans in NZ, are mourning for the great loss of a NZ Police Officer in his home-country. It has been the headline on media all over NZ during the last few days of the tragedy.
It is a very common practice, and tradition in Tonga to actively applying the law after incidents (not before).
We migrated from Tonga to NZ, and pick up the difference of policing service. We feel safe/secured in NZ, not fear.
We all hope this tragedy is a lesson to improve the enforcement of law in our beloved country.
We salute you Kali Fungavaka, for the great service for NZ. Rest in Peace
