I am shocked to think that
I am shocked to think that any delay would occur in an attempt to save lives. I am a friend of Ian Thompson's, the skipper of the Navillus. I do not have immediate access to funds, but will do anything in my power to raise funds to ensure speedy and thorough searching of Late. Please, if you can, pass on my gratitude to Ross and all those who are trying to search. Ursula
A Christian nation? : Jesus
A Christian nation? : Jesus healed a woman on Sunday and was condemned by the law. He shamed the lawyers as hypocrites (Luke 13 vs 10-15). As a Tongan from Vava'u I can buy bread on a Sunday but the law says I cannot buy petrol to save the life of two strangers lost on our shores. As a Christian nation are we called to be the Good Samaritan and love our neighbours as ourselves every day of the week without thought of cost. Have we already forgotten the many millions of pa'anga of overseas aid from strangers in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and many more countries who help us as their neighbours? . . . Now our nation refuses to help them because of our hypocritical laws. Is the homeland that I celebrate with pride still a Christian nation or has it become just a nation of church goers? - Maile Fihinoa 'Aloua.
