Nuku'alofa, Tonga
The Flying Fijians narrowly defeated the ‘Ikale Tahi 14 – 10 today in a hard fought match at Teufaiva Stadium. The ‘Ikale Tahi crossed the Fijian try line in extra-time to an uproarious crowd, but jubliation was short-lived as the referee disallowed the try and ordered a 5 metre scrum to Fiji. Tonga has been excluded from the 2016 World Rugby U20 Trophy tournament. Fiji and Samoa are both currently competing in the competition which commenced last week in Zimbabwe. The annual U20 Trophy tournament hosts second tier nations who did not qualify for the premium U20 World Rugby Championship.
