The Ministry of Finance is seeking to engage suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the following vacant positions:

1. Chief Economist, Economic and Fiscal Policy Division Band H: $36,338-54,508	Master’s Degree with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role OR at least 4 years relevant working experience Post Graduate Diploma with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 5 years relevant working experience. Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 8 years relevant working experience Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Commerce, Economics, or Business from a recognised educational institution.
2. Chief Economist, Budget Division Band H: $36,338-54,508	Master’s Degree with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role OR at least 4 years relevant working experience Post Graduate Diploma with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 5 years relevant working experience Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 8 years relevant working experience Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Commerce, Economics, or Business from a recognised educational institution.
3. Communications and Public Relations Manager, Leadership Division Band H: $36,338-54,508	Master’s Degree with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role OR at least 4 years relevant working experience Post Graduate Diploma with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 5 years relevant working experience. Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 8 years relevant working experience Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Communication, Business Management, Human Resource Management, Journalism, Media, or Arts from a recognised educational institution.
4. Principal Legal Officer, Financial Framework Division Band I: $32,706-49,058	Master’s degree with at least 3 years’ relevant working experience. Professional Diploma in Legal Practice and bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years relevant working experience Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Law from a recognized common law institution/jurisdiction.
5. Principal Economist, Economic and Fiscal Policy Division Band I: $32,706-49,058	Master’s Degree with at least 1 year experience in a similar role OR at least 3 years relevant working experience Post Graduate Diploma with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 4 years relevant working experience. Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 6 years relevant working experience Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Commerce, Economics, or Business from a recognised educational institution.
6. Principal Accountant, Treasury Division Band I: $32,706-49,058	Master’s Degree with at least 1 year experience in a similar role OR at least 3 years relevant working experience Post Graduate Diploma with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 4 years relevant working experience. Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 6 years relevant working experience Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Accounting, Professional Accounting or Finance, Business or Commerce with emphasis in Accounting from a recognised educational institution.
7. Senior Economist (x2), Budget Division Band J: $29,072 – 43,607	Master’s Degree with no working experience Post Graduate Diploma with at least 1 year experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience. Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 4 years relevant working experience Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Commerce, Economics, or Business from a recognised educational institution.
8. Sub-Treasurer, Niuatpoutapu, Treasury Division Band K: $25,437 – 38,156	Postgraduate qualification (TNQAB framework Level 8 & up) + up to 1 year of relevant experience Relevant degree + 1 year in a similar role, or 3 years’ relevant work experience Relevant diploma + 3 years in a similar role, or 8 years’ relevant work experience Current TPS employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role (meeting other core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PMS scores of 3 or above for the past 2 consecutive years)
9. Chief Clerk, Sub-Treasury Vava’u, Treasury Division Band N: $12,719 – 19,080	Diploma Level 5/ 6 TNQAB framework in relevant field; Certificate level 4/trade/technical qualification + 2 years’ relevant work experience Form 7 or equivalent of Certificate level 3 + 4 years’ relevant work experience PSSC or equivalent of Certificate level 2 + 7 years’ relevant work experience Current TPS employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role (meeting other core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PMS scores of 3 or above for the past 2 consecutive years)
10. Executive Officer, Corporate Service Division Band O: $10,902 – 16,352	Certificate level 4 + 1 year work experience From 7 or equivalent of Certificate level 3 + 4 years’ work experience Form 6 PSSC or equivalent of Certificate level 2 + 6 years of work experience Current TPS employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role (meeting other core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PMS scores of 3 or above for the past 2 consecutive years)
11. Daily Paid Executive Officer, Corporate Services Division Rate: $38.15	Certificate level 4 Form 7 or equivalent of Certificate level 3 + 2 years’ work experience Form 6 PSSC or equivalent of Certificate level 2 + 4 years of work experience Current TPS employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role (meeting other core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PMS scores of 3 or above for the past 2 consecutive years)
12. Daily Paid Cleaner/Caretaker, Corporate Services Division Rate: $25.70	Form 5 TSC or equivalent of Certificate level 1 *Exceptions: Cleaners, Caretakers, Groundskeepers, Handymen, Watchmen, Laundry Assistants (basic literacy and numeracy skills will be required in the absence of secondary school).
13. Daily Paid Watch man, Corporate Services Division Rate: $34.82	Form 5 TSC or the equivalent of Certificate Level 1 *Exceptions: Cleaners, Caretakers, Groundskeepers, Handymen, Watchmen, and Laundry Assistants (basic literacy and numeracy skills will be required in the absence of secondary school).
14. GCF Consultant-Project Manager, Fisheries Salary: $20,000 per annum	Bachelor’s Degree or higher particularly in Project Management, Finance, or any degree relevant to management, administration and accounting or relevant qualifications from an accredited tertiary institution At least 3 years’ experience in management, finance, planning, and administration including data collection, reporting and communication of results to inform decision-making, approval and endorsement. Understanding of current Pacific Islands coastal fisheries management, climate change and science issues, and experience of working with gender issues relating to fisheries. Experience with donor-funded projects, especially projects involving regional organizations, and international organizations such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and GCF would be an added advantage.
