A team of Tonga High School students who won the Secondary Schools category of Tonga's Youth in Business Challenge 2012, returned home on December 1 after a successful five-day funded trip to New Zealand.

'On The Spot', a talented young Tongan singing group received an award for the "Best Commonwealth Band/Artist" musical video, at Marlborough House, London on August 12, 2010, International Youth Day. Three girls, singers 'Emeline Kite, Minaira Fifita and Nisyola Fifita, and two boys, guitarist Samiu 'Ofa and cinematographer Malani Wolfgram travelled to London to receive their award.
