Tongan officials burning a large haul of cannabis seized by Tonga Police last week in 'Eua, used tyres as a base for the bonfire at Tapuhia Solid Waste in Vaini, Tongatapu today, Tuesday November 22.

Thirty four cannabis plants were uprooted and seized during a Tonga Police Operation in 'Ohonua, ‘Eua, of Friday, in addition to 458 cannabis plants that were initially seized last week.

Siaki Tongatu'a (40) from Tu'atakilangi has been charged with suspected drug related offences and further detained in custody, after appearing at the Nuku'alofa Magistrate's Court on Monday, November 14.
