Tonga’s recently passed Family Protection Bill 2013 is at the forefront of a 'Family Violence and Youth Justice Workshop' being held in Nuku'alofa this week to provide the judiciary and stakeholders with a better understanding of the new bill, that will help tackle the increasing problem of family violence.

The Chinese Embassy in Nuku’alofa came out for the first time today to state that its gifted MA60 aircraft to Tonga was verified by China’s aviation airworthiness standard, and that while it satisfies requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) the manufacturer had not applied for certifications in countries where it did not operate.
