A memorial service and celebration of the life of the late Uili Lousi — Tongan visionary artist, international climate advocate, and cultural champion — will be held in Nukuʻalofa on Saturday 30 August 2025, featuring a special exhibition of his artwork at the Australian High Commissioner’s Residence from 2:30pm. The memorial will aid in the early establishment of the Uili Lousi Foundation, a platform designed to advance his work in the arts, environment, food systems, and youth empowerment.

A donation of $5100 pa’anga was made to the Alonga Adult Disabled Centre, at Pea on December 8. Tongan artist Uili Lousi collaborated with the New Zealand High Commissioner HE Sarah Walsh in this initiative and presented the cheque to Lavinia Satini, the center’s coordinator with residents present. The amount was raised from the sales of artwork by Lousi.
