Tongatapu voters have replaced seven of their ten incumbent MPs, retaining only three in today's General Election. One of the incumbents did not restand. No women were successful in taking Tongatapu seats.

Tonga's nobles have reelected the Prime Minister, Lord Tu'ivakanoto his parliamentary seat, among eight incumbent Nobles Representatives and one new Nobles Representative after 29 men voted at the Palace Office this morning. The official results for the nine Noble's Representatives were announced after polling closed in the General Election at 4:00pm. Results for the 17 People's Representatives polling places will be announced later this evening.
