Disaster risk reduction will be one of the main themes of the Pacific Island Leaders Meeting (PALM7) summit on May 22-23, together with other important issues such as the environment, climate change, sustainable development, people-to-people exchanges and maritime issues, Japan's Prime Minister said in a statement ahead of the meeting, welcoming Pacific Island leaders to Japan.
