The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Lord Tu‘i‘afitu met experts at the Queensland Department of Resources (QDOR) in Brisbane on December 9 2022, at the conclusion of a visit to Australia.

The Prime Minister Hon ‘Akilisi Pohiva yesterday recommended to King Tupou VI to reappoint Lord Ma’afu as Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, after differences with another Cabinet Minister were reconciled. Lord Ma'afu had voluntarily resigned on March 2.
