The Japan-Tonga cooperation will foster a “free and open Indo-Pacific” based on the rule of law, the Japanese Ambassador to Tonga, HE Inagaki Hisao, said last night, 20 February, at a reception to celebrate the 65th birthday of the Emperor of Japan, HIM Emperor Naruhito. The Ambassador welcomed HM King Tupou VI and members of the Royal Family to his Residence in ‘Anana, Nuku'alofa.

The friendship between the Tongan Royal Family and the Imperial Household of Japan was recognised at a reception to celebrate the 64th birthday of the Emperor of Japan, hosted by the Japanese Ambassador Designate to Tonga, HE Mr Iangaki Hisao, at his residence in ‘Anana, Tongatapu, on 22 February.
