The Ministry of Finance is seeking to engage suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the following vacant positions:

 Minimum Requirements

1. Principal Economist,

Economic and Fiscal Policy Division (Re-advertised)

Band I: $34,342 – 51,511
  • Master’s Degree with at least 1 year experience in a similar role OR at least 3 years relevant working experience
  • Post Graduate Diploma with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 4 years relevant working experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 6 years relevant working experience
Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Commerce, Economics or Business from a recognised educational institution.

2. Principal Economist, 

Budget Division

Band I: $34,342 – 51,511
  • Master’s Degree with at least 1 year experience in a similar role OR at least 3 years relevant working experience
  • Post Graduate Diploma with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 4 years relevant working experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 6 years relevant working experience
Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Commerce, Economics, or Business from a recognised educational institution.

3. Principal Accountant, 

Treasury Division

Band I: $34,342 – 51,511
  • Master’s Degree with at least 1 year experience in a similar role OR at least 3 years relevant working experience
  • Post Graduate Diploma with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 4 years relevant working experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 6 years relevant working experience 
Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Accounting, Professional Accounting or Finance, Business or Commerce with emphasis in accounting from a recognised educational institution.

4. Chief Accounting Officer

Treasury Division (Re-advertised)

Band J: $30,526-45,788
  • Postgraduate qualification (Level 8 TNQAB framework: (postgraduate Diploma/BA with honours and MA) up to 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Relevant degree + 2 years in a similar role, or 4 years’ relevant work experience
  • Relevant diploma + 4 years in a similar role, or 10 years’ relevant work experience
Current TPS employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role (meeting other core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PMS scores of 3 or above for the past 2 consecutive years)

5. Senior Financial Analyst,

Financial Framework Division (Re-advertised)

(Band J: $27,686 - $41,530)
  • Master’s Degree with no working experience
  • Post Graduate Diploma with at least 1-year experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 4 years relevant working experience
Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce or Finance from a recognised educational institution.

6. Senior Economist

Budget Division (Re-advertised)

Band J: $30,526-45,788
  • Master’s Degree with no working experience
  • Post Graduate Diploma with at least 1 year experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 4 years relevant working experience
Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Commerce, Economics or Business from a recognised educational institution.

7. Senior Auditor,

Internal Audit Division

(Band J: $27,686 - $41,530)
  • Master’s Degree with no working experience
  • Post Graduate Diploma with at least 1 year experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 4 years relevant working experience
 
Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Accounting, Professional Accounting or Auditing from a recognised educational institution.

8. Property Manager,

Corporate Services Division

(Band K: $26,710 - $40,064)
  • Post Graduate Diploma with no working experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience
  • Diploma Certificate with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 8 years relevant working experience
 
Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Management, Property Management, Economics, Commerce, Business, Accounting, or Finance from a recognised educational institution.

9. Auditor (x2), 

Internal Audit Division
 
Band L: $22,133 – 33,194
  • Bachelor’s degree with no working experience
  • Diploma Certificate with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience
 
Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Accounting, Professional Accounting or Auditing from a recognised educational institution.

10. Accountant (x2),
