Invitation to Tender
• Construction of a New Football Pitch
1. Introduction
The Tonga Football Association (TFA) invites qualified contractors to submit tenders for the construction of one new football pitch for the newly build Stadium. The scope of work includes the removal of tree trunks and stumps, ground compaction and site levelling, top soiling, planting new grass (preferably Bermuda grass or equivalent).
2. Project Details
Location:
- New Stadium at Tonga Football
Scope of Work: Pitch 1 (New Stadium)
- Construction of a new football pitch approximately 75.0M (W) x 110.0M (L).
- Installation of Bermuda grass or equivalent.
3. Technical Specifications
Tree Removal and Site Preparation:
- All tree trunks and stumps must be removed, and the site must be cleared of debris.
- The ground should be levelled to ensure a uniform surface suitable for football play.
Topsoiling and Grass Planting:
- High-quality topsoil should be applied to a depth of 100 mm. well compacted.
- Bermuda grass or equivalent should be planted, ensuring even coverage and optimal growing conditions.
- Compaction and levelling of the existing ground soil.
4.Submission Requirements
Interested contractors are required to submit the following:
- A detailed project plan and timeline
- Evidence of previous experience in similar projects
- Detailed cost estimates, including breakdowns for each part of the project
- References from previous clients
- Proof of insurance and relevant certifications
5. Evaluation Criteria
Tenders will be evaluated based on:
- Compliance with technical specifications
- Proposed project timeline
- Cost-effectiveness
- Contractor’s experience and references
- Quality of materials proposed
