PALM Program Manager

The Australian High Commission in Nuku’alofa invites applications for the position of PALM Program Manager.

About the role:

The PALM Coordinator is a key member of the Australian High Commission team and will work under the direction of the Senior Program Manager to support Tonga’s participation in the PALM scheme. The officer will support policy and program coordination with Tongan government ministries, the Pacific Labour Facility, other Australian bilateral programs in Tonga and Australian government agencies. The officer will be responsible for administrative support to the broader Labour Mobility, Skills, and Education team. International or domestic travel may be occasionally required to represent the program at meetings, attend training and monitor aid investments.

Terms of employment:

The terms of employment will be in accordance with the Nuku’alofa – Locally Engaged Staff Terms and Conditions of Employment. Employment will be offered on a permanent (on-going) contract basis at the LE4 broadband level with an annual salary range between TOP29,521 and TOP34,536 depending on experience. Continued employment is subject to a successful completion of a six-month probation period.

  • A curriculum vitae (maximum three pages) which includes details of two referees, one of whom should be a current or recent manager; and
  • A written response addressing the qualifications and experience criteria (maximum 400 words)
