
The Ministry of Education and Training (MET) was named champion of the Fiefia Tonga Sports volleyball competition, winning both the men's and women's titles for the June-July tournament.
MET topped the men's standings ahead of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), while the Ministry of Lands, Survey, Planning and Natural Resources (MLSSPNR) finished third. The Ministry of Infrastructure (MOI) placed fourth, followed by the Ministry of Communications, Climate Change, Tourism and Labour (MCCTIL) in fifth and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forests (MAFF) in sixth.
In the women's competition, MET also claimed first place, with MCCTIL finishing runner-up and MLSSPNR taking third. His Majesty's Defence Services (HMDS) placed fourth, ahead of the Public Service Commission (PSC), the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and MAFF.
The June-July tournament forms part of the Fiefia Tonga Sports programme, which promotes healthy lifestyles and physical activity among employees across Tonga's public and private sectors through regular sporting competitions.
