Tonga records five HIV cases as Health officials urge awareness and testing

At the end of 2025, Tonga had five confirmed cases of people living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), alongside more than 700 reported cases of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as syphilis and chlamydia, according to health authorities. They are very concerned with Fiji's growing HIV epidemic and encourage returning students to take HIV tests either in Tonga or inĀ Fiji.
