Tonga's new Ambassador to Qatar

Tonga's head of mission to the United Arab Emirates, HE Ambassador Hon. 'Akauola presented his Letters of Credence, to the Deputy Emir of the State of Qatar, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, in Doha, Qatar, on  4 May.

HE Ambassador Hon. 'Akauola is the Non-Resident Ambassador of Tonga to the State of Qatar. He was amongst a group of six heads of diplomatic missions, including the Republic of Fiji, who presented their credentials at the Amiri Diwan of the State of Qatar.

This completes the ambassador's accreditations to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States, with the earlier presentation of credentials to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2021, the State of Kuwait in 2023, the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2023.
