• ASSISTANT GOVERNOR (OPERATIONS)
We are seeking the services of highly qualified and dynamic individual to join the Reserve Bank’s governance team as we strive to achieve our mission of delivering excellence in financial operational managements. Applicants are invited for the following key leadership role:
1. Assistant Governor (Operation)
Reporting directly to the Deputy Governor, this role supports the Governors in leading the Reserve Bank’s operations and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of its mandate. The Assistant Governor will oversee core functions including Finance, Information Technology, Human Resource, General Administration and Property driving operational excellence and organizational success.
2. Key responsibilities:
- Lead the Bank’s operational teams, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s strategic vision/mission.
- Oversee financial and operational processes, including Financial Statements, Internal Controls, and performance reporting, audit readiness preparations and compliance to ensure efficiency and accountability.
- Manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and high-performance culture including currency, security and property management.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve long-term objectives while adapting to changing reserve bank’s needs and external environments.
- Handle sensitive information and maintain professionalism in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice and solutions to meet current and future business requirements.
3. Eligible Requirements: To be successful, candidates must demonstrate the following:
- Academic Qualifications: A postgraduate degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance, Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution. CPA certification is highly advantageous.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of senior-management experience in banking, finance operations, or a closely related field.
- Leadership: Proven experience in managing and leading senior teams.
- Strategic Acumen: Expertise in strategic planning and execution to achieve long-term objectives and navigate complex challenges.
- Analytical Skills: Strong capacity to analyze/ manage operations to ensure organizational efficiency.
- Professionalism: Resilience under pressure, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.
