How amazing that America can
How amazing that America can come into our country and force our legal system to extradite anyone that commit crime in the US, but if one of theirs commit serious crime in Tonga they sought to have it their way, they trial them. How unfair, and very disappointing!
Responding to Hukitau's
Responding to Hukitau's comment on what appears to be unfair, I assume Hukitau is alluding to the recent alleged US Citizen yachtee murder case in Vava'u. Short answer is this - while there may be an extraditing agreement passed between the United States and Tonga, unfortunately, there is no such agreement between the Government of Tonga and the American Samoa Government. American Samoa is a US territory but with its own immigration law. Hope this helps.
