Good story and great
Good story and great initiative by the Women's group. We should also be thankful for the funding of the this project by Australia.
Hopefully the skills they learn will allow them make a living out of it.
Thank you sponsors for this
Thank you sponsors for this crucial life skill initiative. Indeed, this program of teaching our youths at least the concept "saving" and self reliance is a step closer to eliminating our "reliance" mentality, should be applauded! Education syllabus at Primary School level should teach the most rudimentary concepts such as "saving" money, and the importance of investing. Teaching our youths the knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively will lead to a lifetime of financial well-being not only for the individual but for the country as a whole. Tragically, our culture and church leaders somehow encourage the con-game of encouraging people to give beyond what you can afford to give. The Ministry of Education should wake up and contribute to lessening the social problems of hae fale and kaihaha'a and absconding borrowers, by teaching our young people that wealth accumulation comes from saving, and investing...no giving living beyond your means...that banks are nothing but Santa Clauses giving out lolly cash on compounded interests that could shame the devil... Malo Halatahi e taki e hala!!
