1. Internal Auditor

This position is responsible for carrying out internal audit activities to provide independent and objective assurance on the
adequacy and effectiveness of the Bank’s governance, risk management and internal control systems. The role involves
conducting risk-based audits, preparing audit reports, and monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations to
strengthen compliance and improve operational efficiency across the Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out internal audit activities, including conducting risk-based reviews and supporting the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to management for review and action.
  • Review and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Execute the annual internal audit workplan and follow up on audit recommendations.
  • Maintain professional standards by supporting continuous improvement, compliance and good governance practices.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree in a related field from a recognized institution will be an advantage;
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
  • Proven experience using Accounting management system, following financial procedures, and preparing reports for management (experience with the Accredo Accounting system will be an advantage).
  • Good numeracy, multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and accounting systems.
  • Strong English and Tongan communication skills in both written and oral communication, including report writing.

2. Manager – Human Resource Department

This position supports the Chief Manager Human Resources in managing Human Resource operations and coordinating HR
activities across the Bank. This role contributes to HR policy development, staff management, and the smooth running of HR
functions to ensure a high-performing and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and staff development.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with the Bank’s objectives.
  • Support employee relations, compliance and workplace culture initiatives.
  • Contribute to workforce planning and professional development programs.
  • Support staff mentoring and development initiatives to strengthen team capability.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree in a related field from a recognized institution will be an advantage;
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in human resources or closely related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to manage sensitive and confidential HR information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong English and Tongan communication skills in both written and oral communication, including report writing.

3. Maintenance Technician – Electrician

This position supports the Building & Property Division in carrying out its functions under the NRBT Act and Regulations.

The role is responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs and installation of plant, equipment and building systems to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of NRBT facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Carry out electrical maintenance, repair and installation works across NRBT buildings, including wiring, lighting switchboards and related systems.
  • Support the operation and servicing of electrical plant and equipment such as generators, air-conditioning systems, pumps and ventilation systems.
  • Maintain and replace electrical components and ensure timely response to faults and maintenance issues.
  •  Assist with the maintenance of building security and control systems, including electronic doors and gates.
  • Provide technical support to ensure all electrical systems are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently in line with engineering standards.
  • Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • A Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Trade Certificate in Electrical or related technical field;
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in building, mechanical maintenance or a similar technical role;
  • General knowledge of property, plant and equipment maintenance;
  • Good understanding of machinery, electrical and plumbing systems;
  • Strong English and Tongan communication skills in both written and oral communication, including report writing.
