Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Term: Minimum 2 Years to Maximum of 4 Years

Position Summary

The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the implementation of the Strategic goals and Objectives of the Company. The CEO will provide leadership and direction and coordinate all activities of the Company in accordance with the mission, strategy, and the annual goals and objectives of the Company. The CEO will have broad responsibilities, but key responsibilities are mentioned below.

Key Accountabilities

1.

Strategy Development, Planning and Reporting:

  • Will lead in the development of the future strategic directions and objectives (Business Plan) of the Company and present to relevant authorities for input, discussion and decision.
  • Ensure strong strategic and annual planning processes are in place to produce effective annual plans for approval.
  • Ensure that all financial and non-financial reporting requirements are met on a timely and regular basis.
  • Ensure that reporting to the relevant authorities is always totally ‘transparent’ and on a ‘no surprise’ basis.

Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain effective and successful relationships with key stakeholders including authorities, donor agencies, contract counterparties and customers and establish credibility for the Agencies.

Operation Management:

  • Work in partnership with Board, Managers and Staff to ensure that day-to-day operations of the Company are effectively and efficiently coordinated and implemented and conducted within the timeframe of good governance and best practice. Expected to drive ongoing performance improvements on all metrics.
4.

Staff and Contractor Management and Leadership:

  • Establish and maintain a high-performance culture through effective performance management, communication and coaching of Staff.
  • Provide clear leadership and promote and foster a team culture consistent with the organization’s values.
  • Ensure the recruitment of appropriately skilled Staff to positions and establishing appropriate remuneration levels and performance-based conditions for Staff within the framework agreed by the relevant authorities.
5. Recommend to the Board any development work or renovations that would improve the assets and result in revenue growth opportunities.
6. Prepare and submit reports as required by the Public Enterprise Act, Company Act and the Board of the Company.
7. Represent the Company at appropriate local and international forums
