Position Minimum Requirements Salary Band and Range

1. Police Nurse

Operations Support Command

  • Current registration with the relevant nursing authority as registered nurse.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in general nursing and a minimum of five years of practice and contemporary experience and knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines:
    • Occupational medicine
    • Practice nursing
    • Travel medicine
    • Public health
    • Community health
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification, or the ability to obtain it
  • Immunization qualification
  • Availability to undertake domestic travel as required
  • Maintenance of required qualifications
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning opportunities
  • Ability to quickly establish effective and reliable rapport with Tonga Police employees
  • Demonstrated high-level emotional intelligence
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and deliver against business outcomes.

Band L
($20,075-$30,107)

Starting salary point to be commensurate with qualifications and experience brought to the role.

2. Police Chaplain

Operations Support Command

  • Ecclesiastically certified
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in ministry
  • Minimum qualification in counselling will be considered favourably

Band L
($20,075 - $30,107)

Starting salary point to be commensurate with qualifications and experience brought to the role.

3. Corporate Services Manager

(Re-advertise)

Operations Support Command

Either / Or:
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications (TNQAB Framework Level 8+) with at least 4 years of senior leadership experience
  • Relevant degree + 4 years of senior leadership experience in a similar role (in complex organisations, preferably in Government or regional or intentional agencies)
  • Current Public Service or private sector employee with 8 years’ experience in a similar role
Knowledge and understanding of Tonga Police’s operational environment would be an advantage

Band H
($34,608-$51,912)

Starting salary point to be commensurate with qualifications and experience brought to the role.
