1. Tonga Skills and Labour Mobility Program Pillar Lead

Skills and Labour Mobility Program Pillar Lead (SLMP): We need an outstanding senior managerial adviser with leadership experience. This role is an opportunity to contribute to the development of a more inclusive and demand-driven workforce that delivers enhanced social and economic benefits to Tonga. The successful candidate will work within a progressive, growing team on a new initiative backed by long-term support from the Australian Government. Tonga Skills and Labour Mobility Program Pillar Lead - The TSLMP Pillar Lead has overall responsibility for the delivery of TSLMP—from planning to implementation and evidencing progress toward the End of Program Outcomes (EOPOs). The role is dualistic in nature, serving both as a high-level strategic and technical adviser to Government of Tonga counterparts and TSLMP personnel, and as the day-to-day leader and manager of TSLMP with operational and Technical Advisory (TA) support from TASP.

Key objectives for the TSLMP Pillar Lead include:

  1. Establishment and maintenance of forthright and amicable professional relationships with senior Government of Tonga (GoT) counterparts, DFAT staff and TASP/TSLMP personnel; and
  2. Effective and efficient planning and implementation of TSLMP in accordance with the endorsed Investment Design Document, agreed partner requests and applicable policies.

TASP Director Operations: We need a managerial level officer. This role is a challenging leadership opportunity to coordinate and oversee effective operational support to a diverse and dynamic suite of development Programs in Tonga. The successful candidate will work within a progressive, growing team on a new initiative backed by long-term support from the Australian Government. The TASP Director Operations has responsibility for the smooth, efficient and effective delivery of operational services through the in-country Program Support Unit and Australia-based support staff. This suite of services broadly incorporates the following functional areas: operational leadership/ staff management/ innovation/ stakeholder liaison, human resources, finances, travel/ logistics/ assets/ facilities/ safety and well-being, grants, and operational compliance/ systems and reporting.
