
Tonga will launch a five-day celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Tonga Constitution tomorrow, Friday 31 October, in Nuku'alofa. An official programme of events through to Tuesday 4 November 2025, was released by the Prime Minister's Office today.
A variety of exciting celebratory events are set to take place across Tongatapu in the next five days, including sports tournaments, parades, school marches, traditional torch lighting (Tūtūpakanava), fireworks and more.
Invited Heads of State are expected to arrive in Tongatapu to part-take in the celebrations. PNG's Governor-General, HE Grand Chief Sir Bob Dadae GCL was the first Head of State to arrive yesterday, 29 October.
The official program for the celebrations was released by the Prime Minister's Office today.
