Over a hundred dogs were de-sexed at Tokomololo Vet Clinic, in the past four days by volunteering veterinarians under SPAW.
A team of eight veterinarians under South Pacific Animal Welfare (SPAW), are in Tonga to deliver free veterinary services including de-sexing surgeries, flea and worm removals, and vaccinations.
One of the volunteers, Nurse Molly told Matangi Tonga that they had given more than 80 consultations and performed over 30 surgeries daily, since Monday.
Tomorrow will be the last day for the team to deliver their services before heading back to New Zealand. SPAW encourages pet owners to bring their animals to be examined and treated.
