A 38-year-old male suspect from Sopu has been arrested and charged with housebreaking and arson of a residence in Longolongo.
Tonga Police responded to an incident, which involved the theft of valuable Tongan mats and the alleged buming of a residence on Sunday, 2 February.
Police urged the public to remain alert and take precautions to safeguard their homes, and report suspicious activities.
"Together we can work as a community to prevent such crimes from occurring," Tonga Police stated.
Investigations are ongoing.
