Incoming Wales coach Wayne Pivac has named New Zealand born centre Willis Halaholo in a 35-man team to face the Barbarians this Saturday 30 November in Wales. If he is fielded, Willis Halaholo will be the second Welsh International of Tongan Heritage after Taulupe Faletau.

His appearance for the match however, is in doubt after reports confirmed a knee injury sustained over the weekend.

Originally an ‘Ikale Tahi prospect, Halaholo (29) qualifies to play for Wales due to residency – having played in Wales for the Cardiff Blues in Pro 14 League since 2016.

The test match against the Barbarians is Wayne Pivac’s first as head coach after replacing Warren Gatland who lead Wales to the Semi-Finals of the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
