Hello, I have been reading your website with great interest these last few days. I am supposed to travel to Tonga next week to study the Kingdom's birds. I am now wary of how the current civil strike will affect my plans.
Can you tell me if the area hotels are being adversely affected by the strike? Also, is it still possible to travel by air to 'Eua and Ha'apai? I am concerned that if the strike escalates that my team and I could be stranded in Tonga or unable to acquire lodging and food if shortages occur.
Can you provide any advice?
