    : The Tonga Rugby Union has gone broke and cannot pay the salaries of its staff, and its mountain of debts amounting to hundreds of thousands of Pa’anga that go back over several years, the President and the Executive Chairman of TRU, Fe‘ao Vunipola admitted today. A proposed solution to the problem, he said, is to change the TRU Constitution to allow the Prime Minister Hon. 'Akilisi Pohiva to become President of the TRU.

Clark, LDS Church Commissioner of Education, visiting Tonga from March 17-19, said the number of LDS students in the Pacific is growing and they are going to invest more in their schools in Tonga - to get better at teaching and learning. But school fighting will not be tolerated by the church and if it became the nature of a school then the church would shut it down.
