Nuku'alofa, Tonga : The Tokaikolo Church (Siasi Tokaikolo ‘ia Kalaisi) has failed to claim ownership over church buildings used by a dissenting congregation in Kolomotu’a. The Tokaikolo Church was seeking control over the property because the Kolomotu’a congregation and their minister had joined a breakaway church called the Mo’ui Fo’ou Fellowship (Mo’ui Fo’ou ‘ia Kalaisi). The property includes the land where the church buildings stand.

Salt Lake City, Utah, USA : An audio recording of the 2014 courtroom shooting of Siale Angilau (of Tongan descent) has been published in Utah. In the dramatic 3-minute long audio recording, at least four gunshots can be heard as Angilau was shot by a U.S. marshal, after he charged towards a witness during a federal racketeering trial aimed at the Tongan Crip Gang.
