The Royal Agriculture, Fisheries and Industries Show 2012 will be held in Tongatapu, ‘Eua and Ha’apai in October. The show is an opportunity for farmers, fishermen and private sector businesses to display traditional Tongan foods, handmade handicrafts, seafood, fish and locally made products.

Tonga’s Princess Regent HRH Princess Pilolevu Tuita arrived in pouring rain to open the first session Tonga’s Legislative Assembly under the new system of government, shortly after 10:00am today at Parliament House, Nuku’alofa.
During Tonga’s coronation celebrations 270 people were named to receive honours, with many attending the investiture ceremony at the Royal Palace on July 31. Topping the medal list was HM King George Tupou V, himself, and his mother HM Queen Halaevalu Mata’aho.
