A smile increases face values

USA

Editor,

In light of the destruction and chaos brought on to the kingdom by the peaceful Temos, I want to share a few humor with you. I want to emphasize, this is not a personal attack on anyone...’s character. This is intended to put a smile on the reader...’s face. I heard smile increases face values.

When Clive Edwards was in the Cabinet, he was instrumental in bringing the Chinese nationals to the kingdom. His mother was proud of him for his humanitarian work. But, after burning down all Chinese nationals...’ owned establishment on Black Thursday, Clive was sitting at the Temos headquarters when the phone rang. He listened intently, and after a moment his face brightened. When he hung up, he immediately phoned his mother to tell her the good news. "Ma!!!," he shouted, "the results are in. We won!!!"

"Honestly?" his mother replied.

Clive...’s smile faded. "Aw hell, ma, why bring that up at a time like this?"

Clive Edwards and Akilisi Pohiva went on a camping trip. After a good meal and a couple of beers, they lay down for the night, and went to sleep.

Some hours later, Clive awoke and nudged his faithful friend.

"...’Akilisi, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."

...‘Akilisi replied, "I see millions and millions of stars."

"What does that tell you?" Clive asked.

...‘Akilisi pondered for a minute. "Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, I can see that God is all-powerful and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?"

Clive was silent for a minute, then spoke.

"...’Akilisi, you idiot. Somebody has burned our tent!"
