Rugby New Zealand has offered a professional contract of $40,000 - $45,000 to 20-year-old Kilisitina Moata’ane of Dunedin, Otago. Moata’ane was one of 28 female rugby players in New Zealand to be awarded professional rugby contracts last week. She previously played for the Tonga Women’s National Rugby League team.

The 24-year-old was named in the All Blacks team list that was announced on Saturday 19 May, three weeks ahead of the All Blacks test match against France on 9 June. Shannon is the brother of NRL star Tyson Frizell.
