There have been six alleged murders in Tonga since February 4. The latest occurred on Sunday 4 March when a 24-year-old man died after he was stabbed during a fight at Fangaloto.

Two teenage boys aged 17 and 15, have been charged with the murder of a Chinese couple who were found dead with stab wounds in a bush allotment at Matafonua on Sunday 25 February. Tonga Police confirmed that the boys were arrested on Thursday 1 March.
