‘Epuefi Laimani who is currently serving five-years imprisonment for possession of illicit drugs, including 5.15 grams of methamphetamine, and bribery of a police officer was denied an application to appeal against his conviction, at the Nuku'alofa Supreme Court. Toakase Kau (31) was sentenced to six-months imprisonment for possession of 0.92 grams of methamphetamine and 0.94 grams of cannabis. The illicit drugs were seized in car where she was a passenger.

Sefo Moala (52) was sentenced to eight years imprisonment for nine counts of possession of illicit drugs, including 41.82 grams of cocaine and 139.3 grams of methamphetamine. “The defendant has been a long-term menace to society," said the judge.
