Today, 2 November 2015, is the 'International Day to end Impunity for Crimes against Journalists'. “Every time the perpetrator of a crime is allowed to escape punishment, this emboldens other criminals and creates a vicious cycle of violence,” states Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO, who seeks to advance the human right “to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers”.
