Tony Finau to play for U.S. Team at 13th President’s Cup [1]

U.S. Tongan golfer Tony Finau will join a team of four American golfers lead by the legendary Tiger Woods at the 13th President’s Cup this December in Melbourne, Australia. Tiger Woods was given the privilege of handpicking the American team, selecting Tony Finau, Patrick Reed, Gary Woodland and himself.
The President’s Cup is a golf series held every two years between “U.S Team” representing the United States and an “International Team” representing the rest of the world minus Europe.
It will be Tony Finau’s first participation at the President’s Cup. The 30-year-old is currently ranked number 9 in the United States team following a consistent PGA tour in the 2018 – 2019 season, reaching the top 10 in six of his 25 starts.
Fellow team mate Gary Woodland (29) also makes his debut, while the experienced Patrick Reed (35) makes his third President]s Cup appearance. Tiger Woods looks to further his legacy with a ninth President’s Cup appearance.
The 13th President's Cup will commence on 9 December at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia. The competition ends on Sunday, 15 December.
