'Etuate believes dialogue won't work

Looking for Lavulavu's university, and found a mortuary - Fe'iloakitau Kaho Tevi:

An interesting personality and background comes with Mr. Lavulavu. I would be grateful if you could enquire with Mr. Lavulavu where we could find the University of Eden Vale where he got his Ph.D. on educational leadership?

I was interested in such a university that sanctioned a Ph.D. on such a broad subtheme. I would be grateful if Mr. Lavulavu could share his Ph.D. as we would like to use his thesis as resource material in the future. By the way, I googled the name and came up with a famous mortuary in Eden Vale, England, but no university. Grateful for some clarification.

Editor's Note - We made contact with the Palace Office and spoke to the Deputy Private Secretary of His Majesty who recalled the King attending the graduation of the 'Unuaki 'o Tonga Institute but did not have any record of a professorship being awarded.

Baffled over Lavulavu's university - Dr Lia Maka:

Those of us who gained their degrees from the UK and in established Universities have never heard of Lavulavu’s University (even Universities upgraded from Technical Institutes status!!). Like Mr Tevi, we are very baffled and would be interested to read his Thesis.

Please allow me if I may quote Edgar Cocker here – on brain wash. I am tempted to comment on Lavulavu’s Ph.D degree. While Lia and Fei did their search in UK, I did mine in USA, New England area where some of us (Pita Kupu, Lipoi Finau Ph.D., Dr. Mohenoa Puloka, myself and others) froze our seat belts to educate in the hard way - the real life way. You forgot to mention the only legimate Tongan that everyone knows graduated from the Harvard University, which is Dr. Langi Kavaliku. You’re all in the “Wannabe” doctor Lavulavu’s category. Hmmmm…

PS: Reply to Edwards and the Other Edwards - I would not address anyone that graduated from a “Mortuary” as a doctor - so Lavulavu is, perhaps, a Voodoo doctor maybe??

I feel a Professorship coming on! - Kitione Fale:

Edgar highlighted the significance of Dr Lavulavu’s Ph.D degree, in record time with minimal work and stress. And regardless of whether it be from Eden Vale Cemetery, bakery or University, I guess it’s time to welcome Tonga to the age of “dealership”. And on that note… I suddenly feel a Professorship coming on - hehe.

Question for Lavulavu - S. Vaiangina:

I have read all the letters about “Dr. Lavulavu” and I just want to ask him how much did he pay for his Ph.D? The reason I’m asking is that I have checked out Edenvale’s website and did a background check on the Invisible University. Perhaps those of you who do not believe me you might check out the website and enter the University or if you want to go further check out the UK Companies House website. I have even checked out the UK address which the Edenvale University website directed me to. There was no University there, but throughout that area there is only one Institution there and it was not Edenvale. So I ask Dr. Lavulavu how much did it cost him so that we might all take that shortcut? Or I might be wrong, maybe Lavulavu after all did get his Ph.D in Ashcahology from Eden (Vale as in Tongan) University.

Edenvale under the earth - Kitione Fale:

If my re-collection is correct Dr Langi Kavaliku did his BA (Anthropology?) from Harvard, but his Ph.D from Victoria University of Wellington, and that his research thesis was to do with anthropological love songs or something of the sort. The guy has also been of awesome great service to our country during his time in government, which we take our hats off to. Anyway, whether its Victoria, New England, UK, or PK chewing gum…Professor Lavulavu and Edenvale Uni is still in a catagory of its own…under the earth!

Editor’s Note - ‘Etuate Lavulavu rang from Vava’u this morning wanting to inform us that Eden Vale should read “University of Edenvale, London, and not Eden Vale, Las Vegas”.

Lavulavu should apologise publicly - S. Vaiangina:

I think the so called self-acclaimed Professor ‘Etuate Lavulavu owes the people of Tonga a public apology. He has lied to the people but above all to our beloved king. It also amazes me that a prominent and well respected academic such as Futa Helu would come out and claim that Lavulavu’s Ph.d is genuine. This I tell you, I have just received my Ph.d from Edenvale University for a discount price of USD$1900 during a five minutes phone conversation. There is more which shall be revealed in due time.
