Chinese president reaffirms diplomatic ties with call to King Tupou VI

The Chinese President Xi Jinping had a phone conversation with King Tupou VI of Tonga last week on 24 September. “Tonga will continue to firmly support China on issues concerning its core interests,” stated a report posted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.
